So, for Christmas this year we wanted to get Braden a dog. We planned on surprising the kids on Christmas morning with the dog, but it is very hard to adopt a dog without a visit with the kids first. Most pet adoption agencies want to see the dog interact with the kids. We went to Petsmart the weekend after Thanksgiving and ended up coming home with a dog! So, Braden got his Christmas a little early this year. She is the sweetest, most calm dog. She is a Basset hound/Pointer mix and is great with the kids.
Braden wanted to name her "Rex", but after explaining that the dog is a girl and a girl's name would be better, he decided on "Charlotte." She is two years old, house trained, crate trained, has all her shots, is spade, and micro chipped. She has the best temperament, and we are in love with her already.
We love her floppy ears and big brown eyes.

How exciting!!! I'm sure Braden will love having a dog to follow him around and play with. I love his floppy ears!
She is such a sweet dog--and such a lucky dog to be adopted by your family.
What a fun Christmas gift! She looks adorable! We miss playing in the snow but not the freezing cold!
How fun! We tried to get a puppy for Christmas for the kids last year, but to get the timing right is just about impossible, so likewise they got a November Christmas present. She looks darling, you'll loving watching your kids bond with her. Have an awesome Christmas!
